Meth lab was next to children's bedroom
EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio - Columbiana County police said a suspected home methamphetamine lab was right in the reach of children.
Two people were arrested at the Avondale Street home on felony charges. Police said their three children are now in the care of other family members.
Matthew Steiner, 36, and his wife, 30-year-old Christy Steiner, appeared before a judge through video arraignment on Friday.
Arrest of man taking meth to jail leads to county's biggest lab bust
NORTH VERNON, Ky. - Four people are in police custody in what's being called the largest methamphetamine lab bust in Jennings County.
Deputies arrested Matthew Davis as he was trying to take meth into the jail when he reported for a court-ordered weekend. He's now facing trafficking and possession charges.
Davis' arrest led to the simultaneous search of two other homes and the arrests of three other people.
In one home, officers found a meth production operation in a hidden room that included a ventilation system, police scanners and a video surveillance system.
Police prevented lab explosion
OSHTEMO, Mich. - Drug enforcement officers say they have busted a Kalamazoo County meth lab in time to head off an explosion.
They found it in the home of a man on probation for meth related charges.
K-VET officers raided the house Thursday night on 9th Street in Oshtemo. Officers found the man hiding in the attic where he'd apparently taken a pot with meth cooking in it.
Officers say the pot was about to explode but they caught it in time to stop that from happening.
