U.S. Border Patrol Agents seize hidden narcotics at checkpoint

AZ - U.S. Border Patrol agents from the Blythe Station seized more than $100,000 of narcotics and arrested a drug smuggler at the checkpoint on Highway 78 on Saturday. At about 3:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon, a white 1995 Ford Mustang pulled into the primary inspection area of the Highway 78 checkpoint south of Blythe. A Border Patrol canine team alerted to the vehicle, indicating the likely presence of narcotics or people hidden inside.

Bounty hunter finds meth suspect, meth lab

OK - A bounty hunter discovered a methamphetamine operation while looking for a fugitive Thursday morning when an accused meth cook led him to an active lab, according to police. The find resulted in two arrests, including a man whose 15-year-old son was inside the house as the meth was being produced, police said. The boy was taken into protective custody.

Former figure skating champion role in major drug ring

NJ - Former United States figure skating champion Nicole Bobek has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute crystal methamphetamine for her role in a major Hudson County drug ring, officials said today.
When sentenced Aug. 5, the onetime ice queen faces anywhere from parole to five years in prison. Under the original charge, she could have faced up to 10 years in prison.
