Create a plan: Putting the pieces in place
Give the team direction
With all players, information and a direction in hand, the group can now begin to piece together its action plans unique to the community in which they will be practiced.
Examples to consider:
- Monitoring drug use trends through community surveillance
- Continuing gathering and analysis of community data
- Ability to identify new drug abuse trends
- Building community awareness through communication of the drug-use trends
- Lobby for tighter "precursor chemical" laws
- Advocating for digital monitoring to stop "smurfing" of pseudoephedrine products
- Pushing for treatment facilities for those who want it
- Encouraging enhanced enforcement
