Quantify the problem in
your area
Use statistics, anecdotal evience, etc.
Get your results out to
the public
Town meetings, school boards, etc.
Share information with other interested agencies
You have to work together
Collaborate on a plan
Solicit input from all affected groups
Enforcement
Police training, lab site clean-up, drug court programs
Treatment
In-patient facilities, outpatient supervision, drug court and social assistance
Prevention
Individual counseling, school programs, public service materials
Agents for change
Once in place, any anti-meth group can use its collective power and knowledge to help sway policy makers and funding.
Never remain dormant
Methamphetamine sources and related problems have been a changing landscape. Anti-meth groups must continually critique their own work and make changes as approprite.
