Treasury designates major Mexican drug chemical traffickers
Washington, DC - The Drug Enforcement Administration on announced today that the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated Ezio Benjamin Figueroa Vasquez and his son, Hassein Eduardo Figueroa Gomez, as Specially Designated Narcotics Traffickers pursuant to the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act (Kingpin Act) for their significant role in international narcotics trafficking, as well as 16 of their companies in Mexico and Panama. The Kingpin Act prohibits U.S. persons from conducting financial or commercial transactions with these individuals and entities, and it freezes any assets the designees may have under U.S. jurisdiction.

OK -Prosecutors have filed felony charges against a Hulbert man who reportedly lost his phone’s contact list and sent a text message to a woman asking if she wanted to buy methamphetamine. As it turns out, the woman who got the suspect’s text is a District 27 Drug Task Force investigator. Keith Odes Deen Jr., 43, sent the text message to the investigator on Jan. 20, 2012, asking if she was “looking.” The investigator said she recognized Deen’s number as someone she’d dealt with before while working with the task force.

Meth making materials found under playhouse
GA -A methamphetamine lab was found under a child's playhouse in Chattooga County. Fifty six year old Sandra Elaine Corbin was lying on the couch when officials say they were invited into the house on Jamestown Road. Agents found evidence of drugs and began searching. That's when they found a playhouse with an old deflated air mattress folded up as the floor. Underneath was a hole allegedly with meth making material.
