Colorado Meth Project continues anti-meth campaign
CO - A year after state and local law enforcement officials announced a media campaign to curb use of methamphetamine, representatives with the Colorado Meth Project will launch the second phase of the campaign next week. The first phase has been characterized by graphic television, radio and billboard ads and more of the same are planned for the second phase. On Monday the Meth Project is planning to release the official results of a study that suggest the campaign is working.
Three children living in meth bust home
AL - Three children were living in a home where officers discovered ingredients to make methamphetamine, as well as residue from the drug, according to Athens Police Capt. Floyd Johnson. Officials with the Limestone County Department of Human Resources took the children into their custody. Officers Kelly Fussell and James Kennedy discovered the meth ingredients at 18042 Blue Springs Road when they went to serve an arrest warrant Thursday for one of the residents of the home, Adam Smalley, who was wanted for manufacturing a controlled substance.
Pregnant woman living in meth house arrested
Rock Hills, SC - Sheriff's deputies arrested five people during two meth lab busts in York County last week. One of the labs was near an elementary school and inside the bedroom of a pregnant woman. According to the York County Sheriff's Office, the first lab was discovered Friday on Museum Road inside David Henson's home which is less than a mile away from Mt. Gallant Elementary School. Henson was charged with manufacturing and trafficking meth, and possession of a firearm. His girlfriend, 41-year-old Bobbie Jo Wulf who is 6 months pregnant, has been charged with exposing a child to manufacturing meth.
