The situation: So far, methamphetamine has barely registered
with the population of Maryland. Law enforcement has busted
only 13 clandestine labs since 2004, about what nation-leading
Tennessee would see in five days. Only once in six years have
Drug Enforcement Administration agents seized more than one
kilogram of meth.

Speaking of meth
"We have a sporadic issue with methamphetamine from time to time and this training helps us to better recognize and deal with the problem. In the past we might see a soda bottle with what looks like debris inside that is really a toxic and dangerous drug," according to Captain Alioto.
