The situation: Missouri has
long been among the nation's
leaders in terms of meth labs
busted by law enforcement.
Cities in Missouri have taken the
initiative to make meth-precursor
pseudoephedrine products
prescription only. A total of 31
municipalities have passed such
legislation. The future may be
a bit more bright for the state.
High school risk-behavior
surveys indicate fewer and fewer
students are trying meth-
amphetamine even once (see
graphic, right).

Speaking of meth
"Our meth problem hasn't gone away. Those folks manufacturing meth are resourceful in finding precursors."
