The situation: Oklahoma was the first state to place
limits on methamphetamine precursor ingredients in cold
medicine and since has been active in trying to combat
the drug. Still, meth seizures lab interdictions have
climbed in recent years (see graphics above)

Meth in Oklahoma:

-- Among those seeking treatment for drug addiction in 2009,
17.5% of Oklahomans did so for methamphetamine -- nearly
three times the national average of 6.3%

-- Spending for substance-abuse treatment,
  prevention and research:
