Bill to limit pseudoephedrine passes California Senate
CA - You've been getting your Sudafed, Zyrtec-D and Claritin-D over the counter for years, but that could change Jan. 1 if a state bill to combat methamphetamine use becomes law.
California lawmakers are looking at requiring prescriptions for popular over-the-counter cold and allergy medications that contain pseudoephedrine, a key ingredient in the illicit manufacture of meth.
Father accused of baby's death goes to grand jury
Monticello, KY - A man who was allegedly making methamphetamine at a trailer in Wayne County warned 20-month-old Kayden Branham's mother to keep him away from the volatile, explosive process.
But when his parents brought Kayden home to the trailer late on May 30, there was a coffee cup of drain cleaner used in making meth sitting where he could reach it, police said Monday at a hearing for Kayden's father.
Four children found in home with meth lab
Monmouth, IL - Five people were arrested in Monmouth after an active meth lab was discovered in a home where four children were living, including a two-year-old.
Taken into custody over the weekend were Holly Hendrickson, Bradley Davis, Daniel Braun, George Jackson and Heather Jackson.
