State health official charged with selling meth materials
Lawton, OK - The governor and attorney general on Tuesday called for a longtime state official to resign from the state Health Department’s board because of a criminal charge.
Haskell L. Evans Jr., 68, a Lawton pharmacist, is accused in a state indictment of recklessly selling drugs that can be used to make the illegal stimulant methamphetamine. Prosecutors said there were multiple instances including an alleged sale "to a known meth cook.”

Jose Luis Medina, 33, had been convicted in a federal court on charges of conspiracy to distribute meth, according to U.S. Attorney Timothy M. Morrison's office.
Charges brought against 12 from meth ring
Danville, IL - Drug task force officers finalized a half-year investigation with the arrests of almost a dozen people on methamphetamine-related charges this week.
The arrests, which came as the results of grand jury indictments, successfully break up a ring of suspects buying pseudoephedrine pills from local stores to supply one of the major meth manufacturers in the county, according to Steve Guess, director of the Vermilion County Metropolitan Enforcement Group.
