Woman with history of drug use may have missing kids
DeLand, FL - The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is looking for help finding three children who were supposed to be turned over to state custody.
The sheriff’s office said that Ceili Rudy, 8, Darien Rudy, 4, and Rainah Rudy, 10, have been missing since Monday when a judge ordered them into state care.
Highly sought drug fugitive arrested
FL - An “alert” Walton County Sheriff’s Deputy arrests a highly sought drug fugitive out of Covington County, Alabama who was out on bond for than one-million dollars.
At around eight o’clock Thursday night, Deputy John T. Jordan noticed a white Hyundai sport utility vehicle with a Florida license plate driving on Kings Lake Boulevard in Northern Walton County.
It matched the description of a vehicle being driven by Christine Hamilton. The 33-year-old faces a host of outstanding charges stemming from a meth lab in the Florala area. They include Trafficking Meth, Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Two-Counts of Possession of Marijuana, and Chemical Endangerment of a Child. Her bond on those charges in Covington County added-up to one-million-and-40 thousand dollars.
Deputy Jordan arrested Hamilton without incident, and she was transported to the Walton County Jail where a hold has been placed on her for the Covington County Sheriff’s Office.
Census worker died in area known for drug activity
Manchester, KY - Investigators worked Thursday to try to unravel the mysterious death of a federal census worker whose body was found with a rope around his neck tied to a tree near a remote cemetery in the Daniel Boone National Forest.

Lt. David Jude, a Kentucky State Police spokesman, said the state medical examiner determined that Bill Sparkman, 51, of London died of asphyxiation. But he said police haven't determined whether his death was a homicide, suicide or accident.
