NATIONAL METHAMPHETAMINE TRAINING & TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CENTER
Northeast Regional Center
In addition to offering assistance to the states listed above, Aimee will be working as part of the National Meth Center team that will monitor policy matters and meet lawmakers in Washington D.C.
Methamphetamine is a relative newcomer to the illegal drug trade across New England and the Northeast where heroin and cocaine continue to be the hard drugs of choice.
At a recent methamphetamine summit meeting in Boston, however, Joanna Panagiotopoulos, an intelligence analyst with the Drug Enforcement Administration told the audience that, all of the New England states are moderately vulnerable to both wholesale methamphetamine trafficking and local clandestine laboratory production."
